Cork's Design Process

In order to create their own performance in the Global Water Dances Day, students once again underwent the five steps of the design process.

In their fourth week of the trip, the group partnered with local artists and researchers from University College Cork, one of Ireland’s premier research universities. The group assisted in designing a performance for the international Global Water Dances event, where dancers and community members on six continents perform simultaneously to raise awareness for global water issues.

What is it?

The Global Water Dances as an idea began with a small group of students of non-verbal communications all trained in Laban Movement Analysis, with decades of experience in producing Movement Choirs, events that use community dance to create social cohesion. Participation in planning local events or Global Water Dances is open to anyone who loves to move.

We are all bodies of water."
